That lazy dessert... Strawberry & Custard

Did you know? Strawberries are the only fruit that wear their seeds on the outside! Woah... Mind blown!

Also, have you seen strawberries the size of a frigging die cast car.

These little beauties can be pickled when green and turned into a jam when they are ripe. Strawberries have the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness hitting your tongue on all the right spots. They start off with the front of the tongue the "sweet" part and as you chew they move to the sides, the "sour" part of the tongue.

I love making this lazy strawberry dessert...

You'll need:

8-10 nuclear sized strawberries
1/2 tsp butter
1 tsp Balsamic vinegar
3 tsp granulated sugar

Optional:

Crushed Speculoos biscuit.
Crumble mix

Chop up the strawberries into rough chunks. Heat a pan with the butter and add the strawberries to it. Once they start sizzling add the sugar and balsamic vinegar. Cook that down till the strawberries are squishy outside yet firm inside. Now this is one of those lazy yet "sense of achievement" desserts. So walk to the nearest store and pick some fresh vanilla custard. Drizzle the strawberries over the custard and top it off with some custard and crushed speculoos.
